UPDATES // BEDROOM REFRESH WITH SERENA & LILY
To celebrate the grand opening of their new store in the Pacific Palisades Village, Serena & Lily reached out to see if I would style out a few of their pieces in my home. This will be their 9th store the will be designed to mimic a California beach cottage with vignettes of a kitchenette, two bedrooms, a living room with fireplace and a bunk room and will offer a rotating collection of one-of-kind art pieces. Perfect for it’s Palisades location which is close by to beach!
I’ve been looking for new rug for the bedroom for a while and their Tulum Rug is great because it’s low pile (good for dogs), natural fibre (hemp and cotton) and neutral in tone. The diamond pattern is subtle and gives a nice texture which feels nice and nubby under my feet.
I paired the rug with the Reese Nightstand in cerused ebony. I’ve always had light nightstands so the black adds depth but doesn’t feel too harsh because of the brush strokes of the cerusing/limed finish.
There’s discrete pull out shelf under the top that allows for extra surface space and I always need more room for my books or water glass at night.
To complete the look I picked out the Linden Sheet Set in navy which is small scale floral pattern. I’ve been getting more and more into florals again so this was the perfect way to introduce them back in the house is a small way.
The new Serena & Lily store will be open from Friday October 12th and located at 1067 N Swarthmore Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90272.
